Julie Richey is an award-winning mosaic artist whose work as MAN’s Roving Reporter, Italian translator, and exacting proofreader have been crucial to our success.  The artist’s sumptuous sculptural mosaics have garnered multiple  awards from the Society of American Mosaic Artists Mosaic Arts and in 2009 she claimed the Grand Prize in the international Orsoni Smalti Veneziani competition. Her art has appeared in publications from six continents and she has taught/lectured in the US and Australia.

When she is not creating custom mosaics for clients or working on her own designs, Richey is planning her next trip to Italy.  Every year the Art History graduate leads a Mosaic Masterpieces tour to her favorite places with frequent stops for mosaics – and gelato – in cities like Rome, Ravenna, Florence, and Venice.
