Monica Machado’s elaborate, fantastical sculptures create enchanted worlds that bombard the viewer with a sensory overload of sight and sound. Employing amassed objects and ceramic pieces and animating them via lighting, electric motors and even fountains, Machado comments on childhood, eroticism, magic and everyday life.
