Mosaic Art Now was founded in 2008 by Bill Buckingham and Michael Welch, mosaic artists and entrepreneurs whose additional endeavors include Mosaic Rocks!, the Mosaic Yearbook, and Mosaic Atlas. Buckingham served as a board member and web master for the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA). Contributions to support SAMA in his honor can be made to the Bill Buckingham Legacy Fund.

Nancie Mills Pipgras is a part-time practitioner and full-time supporter of contemporary mosaics and the artists who make them. A former president of SAMA, she has studied with some of the art form's most respected teachers. Mill Pipgras lives in Santa Rosa, CA with a rampant fly fisherman and an energetic standard poodle.
