LATICRETE Presents: Lilian Broca

On 22, Sep 2012 | One Comment | In Uncategorized | By Nancie

In 2011, LATICRETE sponsored the Exhibition in Print, MAN’s international competition juried by art dealer Bernice Steinbaum, mosaic artist/teacher/author Emma Biggs and painter/art commentator Matthew Collings. Lilian Broca (Canada) was selected as one of the 8 artists in the Exhibition by Steinbaum who said: “As a feminist, it was particularly easy for me to relate to her work that deals with women in society both historically and currently.”  Subsequently, both a book and a documentary on the artist and her Queen Esther series have been released.  Click on the magazine below to view the in-depth six page article showcasing Broca’s award winning work.

We are grateful to LATICRETE for their continued support of contemporary mosaicists and Mosaic Art NOW. Artists like Julie Richey, Dianne Sonnenberg and Gary Drostle trust their major projects to LATICRETE products. Wondering which of their grouts or adhesives would work best in your next work of art? Well, there’s an app for that! To get it, click here.

An additional, BIG, thank you to Laticrete for their support of Mosaic Art Now and us, mosaic artists. Like all mosaic artists I know, I too, use the Laticrete products and very successfully, may I add.

I am thrilled to be among the first “banner artists” on MAN thanks to…. LATICRETE!
    and to Nancie, of course.
